This delicious cheese is our " fresh cheddar cheese". Cheese curds are simply bite size pieces of fresh cheddar before aging. They are very popular in Wisconsin and Canada and have a squeaky, fresh and salty taste that is an all time favorite snack. Also addicting. They are the best when purchased , fresh, directly from the cheese maker!
This is a specialty in our cheese shop. Some guests enjoy coming at 4:30 in the afternoon on cheese making days to get them warm, right out of the vat. Many of our customers have learned how to deep fry or pan fry this cheese. Most Saturdays, fried cheese curds are available for sampling. If you would like several bags, feel free to call ahead to reserve them, they go fast. Sorry, we do not ship cheese curds.
