Upgrade your peanut butter and jelly sandwich with this fresh robust flavored take on a classic favorite. Enjoy the bold sweet flavor of summer and grapes fresh off the vine!
Cream butter, sugars, and peanut butter. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, and salt, stir into creamed mixture. Spread into a 9 x 13 pan. Drop dollops of the grape jelly over the top and use a butter knife to gently swirl into the cookie dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.
Cinnamon Donut Muffins
Ingredients
Muffins
1 ¾ cup flour
1 ½ tsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Nutmeg
¼ tsp. Cinnamon
¾ cup sugar
⅓ cup oil
1 egg, lightly beaten
¾ cup milk
Jelly
Topping
¼ cup butter or margarine, melted
⅓ cup sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
Directions
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon; set aside. Combine sugar, oil, egg, and milk; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fill greased or paper lined muffin cups half full; place 1 teaspoon of grape jelly on top. Cover jelly with enough batter to make the cups two-thirds full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until they test done.
Place melted butter in a bowl and cinnamon and sugar in another bowl. Immediately after removing muffins from the oven, dip the tops in the butter, and then in the cinnamon sugar. Serve warm. Yield: 10 muffins.
